Mobile collaboration

What is a mobile collaboration ? A mobile collaboration is a electronic device that you can carry without hassle that can connect to the world wide web.  These are things like a lap top, a smart phone, some of the digital books that have wifi.  along with the Tablet like the ipad and the ipat2.  the Mobil collaborations are some of the most innovative technology in the last 12 months/ 3 years, and they evolve and get better faster than we can buy the technology. I don't know what I would do with out my cell phone and all of its applications.  being able to email, and text along with checking my facebook and twitter all with in seconds means that I can spend less time in my house at my desktop and more time out side with friends and enjoying life.  I think that after growing up with all of this technology I can think of what life would be with out it.  although maybe some of this generation is a little socially awkward when it comes to face to face interaction but if you tell them to have a social interaction on the computer they have a much easier time.. that can be fixed will it? I don't know.

How teachers can use the 8 norms in the class room to help us learn more

I think that maybe teachers do not embrace the 8 norms of technology enough I don't feel that they really taking to consideration the innovation that is taking over the web.  maybe they could consider giving more freedom if we as students are willing to take to responsibility for our freedom whose to say that the teachers shouldn't give it to us?  also allow us to collaborate on the topic in our own way like the school version of  Facebook.  this is a medium that we are used to because in all honesty we spend probably more than 60% of our time awake  on this site.  Then I also think that keeping the work entertaining is a good thing too make the information that we are learning something that we want to learn something that  we can relate to what our lives are going to be like.  

Tapscott's Eight Norms

In this Blog I'm going to try and explain what the 8 norms are and what they are used for, and how they apply to me.  The eight norms are the traits that the internet generation expects of Technology.  These are freedom, customization, scrutiny, integrity, collaboration, entertainment, speed, and innovation.  Freedom is being able to look at, do, post and read anything you want when you want.  Customization is being able to make sites like facebook and myspace unique to our personality.  but we still want to know that the information that we post about our selves like our phone number our address or any other personal information is safe and that's where the security norm comes in.  then we have Integrity, this is something that is really important! this generation really wants to know that the information that we are reading is true because not every thing that you read anymore is believable, we also what the information to be considerate to everyone so no slang nothing derogatory, and as polite as the person can be.  the Next norm is collaboration This is very important because every one has the freedom to have an opinion.  our 6th norm is entertainment we as a generation want to live our lives to the fullest so we want every aspect to be fun.  but they want to have everything as fast as they can so we look for speed.  and last but not least we have Innovation, This is a norm because we are always expecting things to become new and improved these are the norms and they apply to me because I am part of this generation!

how to use a wiki for digital comunication

Using the wiki for digital communication is done by working together to come up with educated information like a blog but its used my a bunch of people with several different topics.  its coll because everyone can have input and have a comment with out sitting in a meeting room and arguing and disusing for hours ... that's not fun FOR ANYONE!! you can use a wiki for putting your word out. for thats what you want to do. 

The imprtantance of meeting deadlines in buisness and education.

Can you imagine if noon in the world met a deadline? we wouldn't get payed on time, laws wouldn't get passed, criminals would be on the streets for a lot longer than they are now.  Fashion designers wouldn't have there designs out for the right season, guys wouldn't give flowers till after v-day,(but lest be honest flowers are good any time for any reason) and whats else, a bride and a groom would never make it to the alter.  all in all the story is that if no one kept a dead line that the wold would be very disorganized!!!!!!!!!!

keeping up with deadlines is something that i have a really hard time doing! I think that people should keep to their deadlines so that you can get the grade you deserve, because if you do the work and turn it in on time your not only getting a better grade but your also making your self look better, and your also working on creating a good habit!

and with work and business keeping to your deadlines is not only going to insure that you have a job but it also means that if your work is good then you may be setting your self up for a raise and making your self look  wayyy better !!!
in the end you need to keep to your deadlines!
otherwise things are not going to go as well as you would like them too

How I can use digital communication to present digital communication??

I'm having  hard time righting this I'm not going to lie.. I feel like there are so many options on ways to show how a digital communication tool works that it kind of makes my brain hurt at 11 in the evening I think the best way to show how to work my digital communication skill would be make a video of someone making an account with yahoo messenger and then demonstration how different things work and how it can attribute to their day to day things.  this is the best way because so many people learn visually now a days that it really makes the most sense but in order to reinforce the lesson on how to use the yahoo messenger I would over lay the video that i make or find with a vocal voice over and narrate what the person is doing in the video that way people are not as confused .. I know that if someone were to show me a video without someone talking about whats going on then im going to be really confused but anyway Yahoo messanger is really simple but it can look really complicated so the video would be very helpful to people so that they know what all the links do ect

How can Diigo be utilized for students, college students and buisnes profeshionls?

Diigo! first of all according to Google definitions Diigo "is a social bookmarking website which allows signed-up users to bookmark and tag web-pages. Additionally, it allows users to highlight any part of a webpage and attach sticky notes to specific highlights or to a whole page."
This means that if your signed up with Diigo then you can make the whole internet you one personal page that your able to put a book mark in or highlight it and then you can share it for everyone to see.  I think this is really cool. I myself, am a high school student, and soon to be a college student, I think this is one of the coolest sites that my teacher has ever shown me it's very useful because it saves paper, I know that sounds like a stretch but think about it for a project if your working with a group of people.  You can go through and look for information and then you can book mark it, then your able to share it just that group or everyone its sweet! It would work the same for college but then you can be sharing information with your professors and your fellow students.  when it comes to business I think that Diigo would be amazing because it makes meetings less necessary because you can just share the information that you would otherwise share in a meeting.  Diigo is all around a good thing to have because of the new things that it opens up  

Digital comumication

I can't believe that the world i live in has so many different digital diminutions.  I mean think about it, there is physical life.  Witch we all live, all the time.  But, then at the same time we are able enter these different diminutions like face book, youtube, myspace, twitter, skype and now Second life these are all ways of social digital communication but then there are also was to digitally communicate like games the big example is World of Warcraft witch is a game the kids play to get away or to get in to a different world.  My younger brother loves "WOW" as they call it.  He says that its the way that he makes friends.  He has more friends on line than i do in real life or more than he has in real life for that matter.  But I think that its to each his/her own but i don't like the idea that in the future its possible that we might all be sitting at home on our computers and not knowing what its like to fly a kite or what its like to really have a conversation we people face to face and in Person! I believe that things in life are more important that the digital world. I mean can you imagine if the world went with out technology for a week... it would be crazy everyone would be going nuts for like the first few days and then they might start to realize that there are things that you can do that dosn't involve or require the internet.  Now don't get me wrong i love my technology! it makes life a thousand times easier! but the thing is that i have become addicted to doing things on the computer and my phone and my mp3 all that stuff but i wish that i wasn't so addicted because I could be doing more productive thngs than commenting on my friends facebook walls like applying to college etc..
